Make a gift through your IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)
Beginning the year you turn 70 ½, making a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) is a great option to lower your income taxes while doing good for others. QCDs count toward your Required Minimum Distribution (up to $100,000), effectively lowering your adjusted gross income and bringing about many tax benefits.
